Wearable Art
A flower made to be worn, kept and remembered — not just looked at.
The Craft
From Nanjing workshops to your wardrobe
Lunar Bloom draws on the centuries-old craft of velvet flower making (ronghua) — the art of shaping velvet into petals that last. Each piece begins as copper wire and velvet cloth, folded and pinched petal by petal until a flower comes to life.
From gala nights to milestone birthdays, this party edit gathers hand-shaped velvet flower pieces in deep plum and dusk violet — a statement hair comb, refined petite combs, and iris brooches. Each is built petal by petal over a copper-wire frame in our Nanjing studio. Wear one piece for a quiet accent, or layer the...

The Meaning
Midnight Bloom
A garden in full evening bloom. When the party moves from cocktails to dinner and the lights go down, this is the piece that holds the room — camellia and iris layered together in deep plum and dusk violet, anchored on a comb that stays put through every toast. Not a flower for the wallflowers. A flower for the ones who walk in and make the evening feel like an occasion.
The Craft
How the flower comes to life
01
Skeleton
Every bloom begins as a slim copper wire frame, bent by hand into the shape the petals will follow.
02
Velvet strips
Fine fibres are teased and twisted into soft velvet strips — the raw material of every petal.
03
Petal by petal
Each petal is cut, pinched and shaped individually. No moulds, and no two petals exactly alike.
04
Assembly
Petals are set onto the frame in sequence, then finished with a discreet metal pin or clip back.
Packaging
Packaged with care
Your flower arrives in a Lunar Bloom gift box, cushioned and ready to give — no extra wrapping needed.
Good to know
Before you order
Is it really handmade?
Almost — but not quite, and that is the point. Every petal is shaped by hand, so slight variations in curve and colour are the signature of the maker, not a flaw.
How do I care for it?
Keep it away from water and perfume, and store it in the box provided. If a petal bends, reshape it gently with your fingers.
Is it heavy to wear?
No — it is feather-light, made to sit on a lapel or in your hair all day without pulling.
When will it arrive?
Dispatch timing, destinations, shipping cost and return terms are shown at checkout.
